What AI says about dk1.ai. Our own snapshot.
This is the same point-in-time snapshot the free audit produces, run on our own site. Real engine answers, scored against our approved facts, with the gaps we found and what we would fix.
Four checks, three findings.
AI answer accuracy
All three engines describe the product, the human approval gate, and the no-training policy correctly. Two factual errors: Perplexity says pricing is not published (it is, on /pricing), and Gemini describes a "physical" kill switch (it is a software control).
Citation readiness
Engines cite dk1.ai directly, robots.txt admits AI crawlers, and llms.txt is current. But the Organization structured data has no founder, one of its three linked profiles returns 404, and Perplexity's sources mix in unrelated entities named DK1 (an offshore platform, a robotics product, several "DK" companies).
Narrative consistency
Engines still repeat the pre-2026-09-22 positioning, which is an approved paraphrase, but ChatGPT also quotes a retired homepage stat ("0 customer data used to train models"). The site contradicts itself on the founding year: the Studio page says 2024, the structured data says 2026. Two of three engines cannot name the founder, and ChatGPT gives a first name only.
Conversion readiness
Every page the engines cited (home, pricing, studio, trust, AI use) is live and carries a single clear next step: the free snapshot or Scope a pilot.
What each engine said.
Verbatim excerpts, trimmed with “…”. Each question was asked in a fresh logged-out session.
“What does DK1.AI do?”
Approved answer: Governed AI teams, services, and custom systems; a named human approves every consequential action.
DK1.AI is a small Washington, D.C.–based AI studio that builds custom, production-ready AI workflows for businesses. … So, in plain English: DK1.AI is an AI implementation shop that builds “digital teams” around particular business workflows…
Accurate on product and governance. "AI implementation shop" leans toward the services framing the registry avoids.
DK1.AI is marketed as a governed commercial AI operating system that helps teams build, audit, and deploy AI-driven workflows with human-in-the-loop controls, tenant deployment, and audit logging.
Accurate, previous positioning. Sources list includes vietnamplus.vn (DK1 offshore platform), roboticscenter.ai (DK1 hardware), and unrelated DK-named companies.
DK1.AI builds and deploys governed commercial AI systems and agentic workflows for high-trust teams… Strict Governance: Features immutable audit logs, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and a physical "kill switch"…
Accurate structure (Agentic Teams, Services, Custom AI Solutions). "Physical" kill switch is invented.
“Who founded DK1.AI?”
Approved answer: Dan Kim.
The founder of DK1.AI (dk1.ai) is Dan. … describes the company as a founder-led Washington, D.C. studio founded in 2024.
First name only. Asked as "Who is the founder of DK1.AI (dk1.ai)?" after two logged-out attempts with the standard wording returned no answer.
DK1.AI was founded by the team behind its platform, but a single public founder or founders are not clearly listed in available materials.
No founder found.
…the specific individual's legal or public personal name is not explicitly named on their official public-facing studio profile…
No founder found; correctly observes the Studio page does not name him.
“How much does DK1.AI cost?”
Approved answer: Public ranges: Pilot $2.5K–$25K; Team-as-a-Service $5K–$20K/mo; Multi-Team $25K–$50K/mo; AI Brand Presence $15K–$40K + $3K–$8K/mo.
DK1.AI publishes public pricing ranges… Sales Team 6 pilot: $2,500–$25,000 fixed… AI Brand Presence: $15,000–$40,000 initial setup, then $3,000–$8,000/month.
Matches /pricing.
DK1.AI pricing details are not clearly listed on their page. … exact monthly costs aren’t published.
Wrong: /pricing lists every range.
Pilot Program: $2,500 – $25,000 (Fixed price, typically lasting 2–4 weeks). … Ongoing Retainer: $3,000 – $8,000 / month…
Matches /pricing.
“Is DK1.AI a consulting firm?”
Approved answer: No. A product studio with operated delivery.
Not exactly. DK1.AI describes itself as an AI studio / technology company rather than a traditional consulting firm. … It does offer scoping/discovery services and retainers, which gives it a consulting component.
Right answer, but concedes a "consulting component".
DK1.AI appears to be a platform offering governed AI workflows and AI services, not a traditional consulting firm…
Correct.
No, DK1.AI is not a consulting firm.
Correct.
“Does DK1.AI train on customer data?”
Approved answer: No.
According to DK1.AI’s current public materials, no: it says customer data is not used to train models. … Its site explicitly says “0 Customer data used to train models.”
Correct answer; quotes a homepage stat that was retired on 2026-09-22.
DK1.AI states: “In-tenant deployment, no training on customer data”…
Correct.
No, DK1.AI does not use customer data to train general-purpose AI models.
Correct.
What engines can read on dk1.ai.
| Check | Result | Status |
|---|---|---|
| robots.txt | Allows GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended. | pass |
| llms.txt | Present; publishes the current approved description (company-description@v2). | pass |
| Sitemap | 200, 58 URLs. | pass |
| Organization structured data | Present, but no founder field, and foundingDate 2026 conflicts with the Studio page's 2024. | partial |
| Linked profiles (sameAs) | x.com and TikTok resolve; youtube.com/@dk1ai returns 404. | partial |
| Founder on the site | Studio page says "The founder" but never gives a name. | gap |
Public changes only. Nothing here needs your systems.
Add Dan Kim to the Studio page and as the founder in the Organization structured data. Already an approved registry fact.
Approve one year in the truth registry, then make the Studio page and structured data agree with it.
A dead sameAs link weakens the entity signal engines use to tell dk1.ai apart from other "DK1"s.
Consistent third-party profiles (LinkedIn company page, Crunchbase) that say "DK1.AI, dk1.ai" and link back, so engines stop pulling unrelated DK1 entities into answers.
The rebuilt homepage is one day old. Re-run this snapshot in two to four weeks to see whether engines pick up the new description and drop the retired stat.
How this was produced.
Five questions from the DK1.AI discovery-prompt suite, asked in a fresh logged-out session per question. Answers captured verbatim with the engine's cited sources, then scored against DK1.AI's approved truth registry. Site-side checks run against the live site the same day.
- ChatGPT: chatgpt.com, logged out, web search on
- Perplexity: perplexity.ai, logged out, default Search
- Gemini: gemini.google.com, logged out, Flash-Lite
- Claude: claude.ai requires sign-in; not run for this snapshot.
- Copilot: copilot.microsoft.com required sign-in on the run date; not run.
- Point-in-time: answers change as engines re-index and update models.
- Three of five engines. Claude and Copilot required sign-in and were not run.
- Logged-out sessions only; signed-in answers can differ with personalization.
- One run per question per engine; engines are not deterministic.
